Most of us are aware that inferior parts manufactured overseas have flooded our markets here in the U.S.  We know that using these parts are not in our client’s best interest, or the company’s for that matter.  The failure rates on these parts are high and the quality is poor.  Often parts do not even make it out of the service bay before failing.  There isn’t any cost saving that will offset high failure rates and loss of confidence by our clients so we choose not to purchase or install parts of questionable quality or origin.  There is another problem with parts in the service and repair industry however.  That problem is counterfeit parts.

So how do we avoid installing these counterfeit parts on our client’s vehicles?  Actually it’s not that hard, we buy only from trusted suppliers. Large suppliers have too much to lose by supplying parts from questionable sources so we trust them to buy directly from the manufacturers of quality parts.  We often receive phone calls from folks offering amazing deals on “name brand” parts.  We are told they have come from a large distributor who either bought too much product by mistake or have closed their doors.  There aren’t any cost savings that are worth compromising our standards or the safety of our clients.  We appreciate that our clients place their trust in us and we will always strive to provide the highest in quality of both parts service that we possibly can.

There may be times that we are able to offer our clientele more than one level of parts quality, still these are from trusted companies.  Prime examples of such parts are new vs. remanufactured, brake pads, starters and alternators.  These parts are made with differing quality and service levels but are always up to manufacturers specifications.  Some will perform better than others but always without compromising safety. Should you have any questions on this subject, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to assist you.
